You will play a key role in managing the practices own daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting the continuous improvement of our internal systems.
You will be instrumental in supporting our ongoing rapid growth by maintaining robust financial procedures and contributing to strategic financial planning. Your expertise will help drive efficiency and uphold the high standards our clients expect.
You will as part of the Operations Team and report to the Practice Director, in this Full-Time position, from our Leamington Spa office.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform day-to-day transactional finance duties, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time, ensuring full HMRC and MTD compliance.
- Debtor management, to include tracking and reconciling payments as well as following up on overdue accounts and minimise bad debts through debt recovery.
- Manage Customer repeat and ad-hoc billing cycles, including maintaining and reconciling customer direct debits and payments.
- Supplier management, maintaining supplier relations, payment runs and payments.
- Resolve day-to-day finance queries, ensuring smooth running of internal operations.
- Maintain internal financial systems (Xero, Excel) and manage budgets, cashflow, and monthly reporting.
- Prepare draft monthly management accounts and financial forecasts for Directors.
- Oversee internal payroll, staff expenses, supplier payments, and reconciliations.
- Manage repeat and ad-hoc billing cycles, including maintaining and reconciling customer direct debits and payments.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, legislation, and industry standards.
- Support the Directors with financial planning, group reporting and process improvements.
- Assist with office compliance, insurance renewals, and resource management.
- Assist Director with other general duties as requested.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced in financial management or accounting (practice experience preferred).
- AAT qualified (or equivalent experience); working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA is a plus.
- Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and reconciliations.
- Some previous experience of payroll and payroll management preferential.
- Confident in resolving transactional and finance-related queries.
- Highly organised, accurate, and able to work independently.
- A personable, empathetic, and upbeat personality who strives for service excellence.
- An excellent communicator (verbal & written)
- Passionate about financial control and reporting.

Hours: Full-Time 35hrs/week (Mon to Thu 08:30 till 16:30 & Fri 08:30 till 14.00)
